Sacred vs. Secular?

One of the challenges in living an integrated life, where your faith is woven tightly into your work and personal life, is our language. Phrases like “sacred vs. secular” permeate our culture and can cause further compartmentalization of our life.
Our words can cause us and others to forget that God is sovereign over all dominions of life. He rules and reigns over our workplaces and our family life, just as much as He rules over our spiritual pursuits and our churches.
Psalm 47:7-8 teaches, “For God is the King of all the earth;sing to him a psalmof praise. God reignsover the nations; God is seated on his holy throne.”
For those who may not realize that God has dominion over all the earth, choose your words carefully.
