Monday 22nd October

2 Corinthians 4:1,13-16

“Therefore, having this ministry by the mercy of God, we do not lose heart… Since we have the same spirit of faith according to what has been written, ‘I believed, and so I spoke,’ we also believe, and so we also speak, knowing that he who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus and bring us with you into his presence. For it is all for your sake, so that as grace extends to more and more people it may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God.”

So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.

As you learn to live as a witness for Jesus, don’t lose heart!

“I believed and so I spoke.”Think of the things we believe that will give you heart to keep on sharing Christ with those around you:

Believe that Jesus will live and work through you. It isn’t up to you to change anyone, but simply to be available to Jesus. It’s up to him and the Holy Spirit to change people’s hearts and minds.

Believe that people’s hearts were made for God and the people around you know that something is missing in their lives without God.

Believe that Jesus has sent you into your relationships and wants to reach people through you.

Believe that the simple message of the gospel will ring true and will change people’s lives.

Believe, and so speak!

Take a moment to examine your beliefs. Do you believe these things we have talked about today? Really believe them? How will that show up in your conversations today?
