Fearfully Obedient

Have you ever been afraid to do what God is asking you to do? I've found myself there quite a few times over the years--when God has challenged my husband and I to let go of money and possessions and give more, when an opportunity presents itself for me to tell someone about Jesus on an airplane or when I'm out shopping, when I've found myself having to choose between taking a stand for God and what I know is right or being silent. Now, I'd like to tell you that I've always been obedient to these calls, but sometimes fear has won out and I haven't. :( However, when I have responded to God's prompting, He's been right there with me, giving me strength and courage to stand strong for Him. And each time I respond with obedience makes the next time that much easier.
