Majestic Peace

1 Corinthians 14:33 (NASB®)

God is not a God of confusion but of peace.

We live in a remarkably ordered universe. The precision of the natural world is astounding. And the better our ability to observe and measure that precision, the more obvious it is. That is equally true in the spiritual world. Sometimes when we come to the topic of the Spirit of God, we ignore it or avoid it or are frightened of it because we imagine it to be chaotic. If you have seen it expressed in a chaotic way, that chaos did not come from God. He’s not a God of confusion; He’s a God of peace. And the more we understand the Spirit of God and how to cooperate with Him, the more the peace of God, and the order of God, and the precision of God will be made evident and apparent in our lives.

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, how it thrills me to see Your mighty hand at work in the physical world! From the diligence of the ants to the orbits of the planets around the sun, Your world is majestic to behold. Lord, reveal to me the working of the Spirit in my life and around me, that I might give You glory for all the ways You are at work in the spiritual realm. Holy Spirit, I want to cooperate with You––that Your work in me will be apparent. May my life reflect Your presence. In Jesus’ name, amen.
