The Master's College
Education & Community
TMC offers more than 50 programs provide excellent career preparation. A Christian world view is taught in all courses and we believe in the six-day view of creation. Our general education core is a strong combination of theological and biblical studies and the liberal arts. Small classes enable our students to work closely with professors — more than 80% of whom have doctoral degrees, and all of whom are committed Christians. TMC has a 15-to-1 student-faculty ratio.

At The Master’s College, we also believe in the education of the whole student. This takes place inside and outside the classroom. We want to educate the heart as well as the mind. As a complement to the work of the faculty, the Student Life Department exists to facilitate the education of the heart outside of the classroom. We desire to maintain an atmosphere that will be conducive to the development of spiritual maturity and discernment. This occurs in relationships within the dorms, serving in the local church, and ministering the gospel world-wide. Because each student who comes to The Master’s College professes faith in Jesus Christ, we expect students to grow in that faith through the work of the Holy Spirit. We believe that our commitment to five specific distinctives found in God’s Word helps us minister to students as they grow in that relationship. Our philosophy of student life at The Master’s College is based upon these five distinctinves: Worship – Exalting god in every area of life. Discipleship – A relationship with spiritual goals. Restoration – Identifying sin in the life of a believer and helping that person mend his or her relationship with God. Local Church – God’s ordained institution where the gospel of Christ will build up the body of believers. Global Outreach – God wants people from every nation to worship Him, and He has appointed believers as proclaimers of salvation to the nations.

A TMC Education From Anywhere
TMC DEEP is our new Distance Education Extension Program which allows you to receive a TMC education from anywhere in the world—even the comfort of your own home. Our goal is to use technology to provide the opportunity for a larger circle of evangelical believers on a worldwide basis to take a variety of Biblical Studies courses, as well as college-level general education courses, taught by TMC faculty from a distinctively biblical worldview. DEEP provides courses (but not complete degree-programs) to enrich local church membership and provide a complement to the more advanced study degree-program completed on-campus at TMC.
History
Founded in 1927 as the Los Angeles Baptist Theological Seminary, the college moved to Santa Clarita in 1961. Dr. John MacArthur — internationally-known author, pastor-teacher, and host of radio’s Grace to You program — became president in 1985, at which time the school was renamed The Master’s College.

Campus
The Master’s College is located in the quiet, canyon community of suburban Santa Clarita, California, 30 miles north of Los Angeles. Our 100-acre campus offers spacious playing fields, unique academic buildings, and plenty of meeting spots for conversation.

Students & Faculty
More than 1,125 students come to The Master’s College from 42 states, 42 countries, and 19 denominations — over 100 of them being third-culture kids and international students.

Global Opportunities
∑ LABEX (Los Angeles Bible Extension Campus) provides and opportunity for TMC students to live in the heart of Los Angeles and minister at an inner city church, all while continuing classes at TMC.
∑ IBEX — The Master’s College is the only evangelical college in the U.S. to offer an extension campus and full-time faculty in Israel, where students can spend an entire semester at the cost of a normal semester (plus airfare) at TMC.
∑ TMC offers vocational summer internships for students to explore their vocational interests in cross-cultural settings around the world.

Athletics
Our men’s and women’s Division I intercollegiate teams have won regional championships and gained national recognition in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA). Teams include men’s basketball, soccer, baseball, golf, and cross-country, and women’s basketball, soccer, tennis, cross-country, and volleyball. The Golden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) continues to be one of the most competitive conferences in the country for NAIA athletics.
