It is incredibly refreshing to read fiction for young women that does not have a vampire or a morose, moody, teenage girl as the hero. Always Watching is the story of a girl who decides to get involved in the murder investigation of a friend. Brandilyn and Amberly Collins do a fine job of keeping the story from slipping into a Nancy Drew mode. This is a great one to hand off to your book-obsessed junior-high girls.
