Gospel Sensation Tye Tribbett To Release New Columbia Records/Integrity Music Album "Fresh" On October 19th

MOBILE, AL SEPT. 14, 2010 - On Tuesday, October 19, 2010, Integrity Music and Columbia Records will release Stellar Award-winning contemporary gospel artist/songwriter Tye Tribbett's highly anticipated solo debut, Fresh. Fresh is the first new full-length album from Tye Tribbett since the gospel artist's StandOUT (with his choir Greater Anointing) entered the Billboard Top Gospel Albums chart at #1 in May 2008.

Featuring the new gospel single of the same name, Fresh helps the listener delve deep into their life and realize that God's grace, redemption and restoration are available to everyone. No longer with Greater Anointing standing behind him, Fresh is a collection of 16 new musical testimonies, that exemplify a new sound and a new musical direction, but is consistent in displaying Tribbett's reverence, praise and worship to God.

Tribbett wrote or co-wrote each song on the new album which features a plethora of powerful songs including several with guest vocal appearances such as labelmate Israel Houghton and other Gospel artists Isaac Caree, Mali Music, Lowell Pye, Tim Rogers and Shaylah Stevens. The message of Fresh is that change is not an event, it's a process. And for Tribbett -- husband, father of two, Gospel singer, songwriter, producer, preacher and business man - he says the pruning process of change and deliverance took root after an intense wilderness period. "Fresh means becoming a restored, new creature and it's my announcement that nothing is the same," Tribbett declares, "my thinking, my business, my patterns, everything is new."

Nothing more exemplifies this change then Tribbett's new musical life as a solo performer, having disbanded Greater Anointing (G.A.), the choir he conceptualized and led since 1996. "My life has been a life of transition, for the gospels sake. And this process also consisted of transition with Greater Anointing. There is a season for everything and no matter how great a season is, the next one is always coming," he said.
