"You Are Forgiven"

Psalms 32:5     Then I confessed my sin;

I no longer covered up my wrongdoing.

I said, "I will confess my rebellious acts to the Lord."

And then you forgave my sins.

Isn't it amazing how difficult it is to forgive ourselves for the sin and wrong that we have committed.  The Lord Jesus Christ has already made provision for you and me and He certainly doesn't walk away when we repent with a broken and contrite spirit.  Even as a small child begins to grow they quickly learn the feelings of disobedience.  When their will has overridden the right instructions they soon reveal that they know they have done wrong. Their body language changes, they will act different; they will walk defeated.  We are just the same as that small child; spiritually God is teaching me and you to obey and do right, but when we falter and fail, we too know immediately that, "Oh no, I have messed this one up!"  I hate the feeling that comes over me when I have failed.  I am grieved because I know that I have let God down, I so desire to please him in every way possible.  This human flesh is so weak and very susceptible to all kinds of situations that result in a negative reaction to God.

As soon as I made the wrong turn, those feelings flood me, then Satan shows up just like clock- work.  He begins to tell me what a miserable failure I am; that no one loves me and that God certainly will never forgive me this time.  He knows just how to make us feel like God has turned his back on us and well, "That's it!!"  But, thanks be to God who shows us His great mercy over and over again.  I am so glad that God is always on my side.   And, if I can finally learn that when I do fail, then I just need to follow some really easy steps and I'll be back on track in no time.

First of all you must understand that as human beings we are going to fail, come short, mess up royally at times. WE are not perfect and guess what, God already knows that!

1.       When you sin, immediately confess that sin to God the Father.  Ask him to forgive you and He will.

2.      DO NOT allow the devil to throw a guilt trip on you.  Self -condemnation will eat you alive.  Forgive yourself realizing again, that YOU are not perfect.  No matter how spiritual you think you are, we are still going to mess up at times.

3.      By faith receive that forgiveness from the Father and then walk in that forgiveness.

4.      Now, that is behind you and only remembered by YOU, not God.

5.      Get back on track; pick up where you left off….

That is not difficult, but the difficulty is simply a "mind game!"  You must realize who you are in Christ.   Your gift was not cheap; rather, it cost Jesus everything; it cost HIM,HIS LIFE!!

 If I had a dollar for every time I failed God, I would be a wealthy woman today, but I know that God loves me more than I will ever comprehend.  He thought I was worth something very special.  And, if everyone else walks away, HE NEVER WILL!!  God loves us at our best and at our worse.  His love never fails to overwhelm us with mercy and grace.  So next time you fall down, just pick yourself up reach up because God will be waiting to give you that wonderful gift of forgiveness.     And, remember YOU ARE FORGIVEN!

Dear Lord,

I know that I am not the only one that has had to learn, "the hard way" that you love me when I am imperfect.  That you love me even when I fail you and that you will never, ever,   stop loving me.  I know that there are men and women reading this devotional today, that are under such heavy condemnation.  I know that the devil is holding them hostage and will not let them go.  But , You oh Lord are a shield for us, you are there for them, so right now I speak deliverance over my brothers and sisters and by the authority of the Holy Spirit I command that spirit of unforgiveness be broken RIGHT NOW!!! DEVIL……..You leave God's child alone. You will not continue to lie to them and battle their minds……WE break that right now..IN the NAME of JESUS CHRIST!!

You are free!!!  You are forgiven!!!  You are very special to God!!!  SO, my friend start walking in that forgiveness!!!!!  JESUS LOVES YOU!!!!
