I love Christmas. When I was a child, I enjoyed receiving gifts. Now that I'm a dad, I enjoy watching my own boys receive gifts. It's amazing how a few years and some life experience change one's perspective.

As a pastor—which has a lot of dad involved, it always seems—I get great joy from watching folks in our church find God's grace and grow in Christ. I am thankful for my own gift of salvation, but now I can celebrate God's work in the lives of others, as well.

As the editor of Preaching and compiler of this weekly newsletter, I am encouraged by hearing from pastors and church leaders who are blessed through the work we do. I am also blessed to be part of a team—most of the members located in Nashville, Tenn.—who help produce Preaching and Preaching Now. Without them, these would just remain words on my computer. So at this Christmas season, allow me to thank my fellow laborers in this work—Mike, Shaun, Amy, Martina and others on the Salem Publishing team. I am grateful for you all.

As you read this week's newsletter, or this month's issue of Preaching, please know of my gratitude to you and my prayers for you and your work. May this be a wonderful Christmas for you, your families and your churches.

A Special Note: Preaching with Power (Baker) is a published collection of many of the best interviews from Preaching (including interviews with Andy Stanley, Rick Warren, John MacArthur, John Maxwell, Adrian Rogers and many more). From now until December 26, the ebook/Kindle version of this book is available for just $3.99 through AmazonBarnes & Noble and CBD. So if you haven't had a chance to get a copy, here's your opportunity to get a digital version at a special discount price. Why, it's almost a Christmas miracle!

Blessings!
