Sincerely Paul - Grieve
Updated Apr 30, 2009

Sincerely Paul was formed in 1987, and within one year was chosen as one of the nine best unsigned bands to play the Cornerstone Festival in 1988. Over the years they shared the stage with such artists as Undercover, The Choir, The Altar Boys, L.S.U., and A Flock of Seagulls (just to name a few). In 1991, Michael Knott (of The Life Savers and L.S.U.) signed Sincerely Paul to his alternative record label Blonde Vinyl Records. Their debut release “Grieve” was mixed by legendary musical icons Gene Eugene and Brian Webster. Sincerely Paul went on to tour other major venues such as Creation Fest and Atlanta Fest, as well as all the major Hollywood Clubs in Southern California. In 2009, original Sincerely Paul members James Preston and Mike Baker decided to re-form their second band SLIDE, but not before re-issuing their ground breaking classic album “Grieve” to a new generation of listeners. “The common theme on this album is healing, denial, and confronting falsities about oneself-it is both a musical and lyrical journey that transports the listener to a place of uncomfortable rejoicing” so says lead vocalist James Preston (who also happens to be a licensed clinical Psychotherapist). Today critics have hailed Grieve as “an exquisitely realized and brilliant release with brutal lyrics and music that is not only timeless, but more relevant today than when it was when it was first released”(Christiannewwave.wordpress.com, Cut and Dry Internet Talent Radio). Be on the lookout for the band’s next chapter- SLIDE-
