Update On Tony Greene
Tony Greene was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday evening, September 21. The results from 2 days of testing have confirmed that his body is NOT rejecting the transplanted kidney, but the kidney function has decreased. Pneumonia, CMV Virus, a fever of 100.8, and doctor prescribed excess of steroids have caused this admission. At this point, Tony is in ICU, and is being monitored closely by a very knowledgeable team of physicians. Surgeons have placed a vas-cath and have begun a regimen of dialysis to hopefully cause the kidney to function perfectly once again.
Also, measures are being taken to rid his lungs of pneumonia and his body from CMV Virus. At Tony's request, TaRanda and the group are fulfilling all singing engagements this weekend. Bryan Walker has been very gracious to step up and sing for Tony.
TaRanda states, "This was one of the more difficult decisions I've had to make, to leave on the road without Tony. I've spent every night in the hospital up to this point. However, he begged me to fulfill our commitments and I know that God has been and will continue to be faithful. I covet your prayers, not only for Tony, but for us so that we can encourage someone with the good news. We need courage strength, patience, and His anointing to do what God would have us do. "
