What is a Commentary?
Brought to you by Christianity.com

A Bible commentary is a book that tells readers what the Bible means.  They are useful for readers who want to make sure passages haven’t been severely misunderstood or to see if they've missed an important point.  Because commentaries are written by human authors, they typically contain some bias and should only be read after a passage has been studied.
