Why Do Christians Evangelize?

“Evangelism is not a professional job for a few trained men, but is instead the unrelenting responsibility of every person who belongs to the company of Jesus” (Elton Trueblood).
“I'd rather have people hate me with the knowledge that I tried to save them” (Keith Green).
Why can’t Christians leave people alone? Why do they act as if their faith is the only faith that can save?

There is one name under Heaven whereby we must be saved. In The Book of Acts 4:12, Peter states: “There is salvation in no one else! There is no other name in all of heaven for people to call on to save them” (NLT).
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,” (Matthew 28:19). This verse, spoken by the resurrected Jesus just prior to His ascension into Heaven, is known as The Great Commission.
What about those who pre-dated Christ? And what about those in countries where the gospel has never been preached?
