Build Your House on the Rock – Beloved Women – December 13, 2018
He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when a flood arose, the stream broke against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built. – Luke 6:48 ESV
As we live our lives we must always evaluate our hearts and be reminded of where we are in our walk with the Lord. It is easy to lose focus when we are in busy and difficult seasons. No matter the circumstance we have to make sure we are building our house on the Rock that will stand.
Many things may change in our lives - friends, where we live, and our jobs, but God does not change. He is the Rock that can sustain us through any storm. When life’s challenges happen, no matter the circumstance, we need to evaluate our heart and mind in order to sure we are building our house on Christ the solid rock. We must continually keep our eyes on Jesus because He never changes. With Him, we can weather any storm and come out standing on a firm foundation.
Dear God, Please help me to build my life on you, the solid rock. Although I am tempted to place my trust in people and things cause me to realize you are the only firm foundation. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
Where is your trust not rooted in God? How might the Holy Spirit be leading you to place your trust in God?
