What to Do When You Don’t Know What to Do – Beloved Women – June 9, 2023

“For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding; he stores up sound wisdom for the upright; he is a shield to those who walk in integrity, guarding the paths of justice and watching over the way of his saints.” - Proverbs 2:6-8 ESV

TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT

Live long enough and you’ll agree, that life can be complicated. Though we want to make good decisions, the best choice isn’t always so easy to discern. What if I told you that there was a way to know what to do when you don’t know what to do?

In Proverbs 2, we learn that God’s wisdom is a light that illuminates the path of justice, when it’s shrouded by darkness and confusion. (Proverbs 2:6-10) When we embrace God’s wisdom, He becomes our shield – protecting us from bad decisions as we choose to live with integrity.

So when you don’t know what to do, take advantage of your access to God’s wisdom, through prayer and hiding his Word in your heart. When faced with life’s dilemmas, we don’t have to be paralyzed by doubt and indecision, because as we grow in Godly wisdom, we grow in our understanding of righteousness.

PRAY

Dear God, it’s so easy to become overwhelmed by the decisions I must make in life, but the wisdom you give me provides the clarity I need to live a godly life. Thank you so much for generously giving your wisdom to those who ask it of you. (James 1:5-6) In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
