You Were Prepared For This – Beloved Women – February 4, 2020

READ: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:5 ESV)

TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT: For me, the most powerful moment in the movie The Black Panther came in a quiet and solemn conversation between T’Challa and his deceased father, T’Chaka. They spoke to each other in the ancestral plane after T’Challa won the challenge to become king of Wakanda. When T’Challa comes in contact with his deceased father, he quickly admits that he is not ready to assume the position of power held by his father. He is not ready to be the king without his father’s earthly presence. His father lovingly said, “A man who has not prepared his children for his death has failed as a father.”

T’Chaka lovingly told his son that he was prepared for this moment and similarly God has prepared us. God prepared us for success. God prepared us for failure. God prepared us for increase. God prepared us for decrease. God prepared us for life.

God’s words provide confirmation of our destiny. We have to listen, obey, and trust our Heavenly Father. He tells us to not be afraid. He tells that He has it worked out.

PRAY: Dear God, Help me to remember that You have already worked it out. My journey is predestined. All I need to do is walk in Your favor and go forward in faith, not just today, but everyday. Let others see You, Lord God, inside of me. In Jesus Christ’s Name, I pray. Amen.
