Then, as now, people foolishly assume that each person should have the freedom to worship whomever or whatever he chooses according to his own conscience; but this delusion is the result of not knowing the Word of God (see Romans 3:23; 5:12). Jesus exposed it when He declared: I am The Way, The Truth, and The Life: no man comes to the Father, but by Me (John 14:6). Some today call themselves Christians but continue in secret sins and have unsubmitted hearts. Jesus cuts through the facade of those who say they are Christians while still living sinful lives: Why call you Me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? (Luke 6:46). He also reminds us: If you continue in My Word, then you are My disciples indeed; And you shall know the Truth, and the Truth shall make you free (John 8:31). He further declared: Not every one that says to Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he that does the will of My Father who is in heaven (Matthew 7:21).
