Theme: Ways We Experience God

God Saves

Play: Have children take turns throwing an object either at a target or into a container. Make sure they are too far away or at the wrong angle to succeed. You should be between them and the target or container. After they have failed, have them hand the object to you. Then you can hit the target perfectly.

Talk: In our game, it was impossible for you to reach the target. But when you depended on me, I reached it for you. In life, we fall short of the life God wants for us. We are all guilty of sin (Romans 3:23), and sin keeps us from God. Only Jesus, God the Son, can make it possible for us to reach God. That is why Jesus died and rose again. He paid for our sins to free us from guilt and give us new life. This gift is called salvation. It is God’s gift to all who believe that Jesus’ death paid for their sin. This is great news everyone should hear! How can God use you to help others learn the truth?

Pray: Ask God to help you tell others about His gift of salvation.
