She Hired a Private Detective and Found the Sisters She Never Knew She Had

Magda, a Polish native who was adopted as a child, discovered she had three half-siblings, two sisters, and a brother. Both of her sisters are close to her age, and they connected right off the bat.
She Started Looking for Her Birth Family after Her Adoptive Parents Passed Away
"It's funny because I now talk about 'my sisters,' and when I hear myself say it, I'm still really surprised. We all talk about life in the same way, like we were raised together,” Magda said. "We have a lot in common and we are able to finish each others' sentences."
Magda lived in Poland until 2005, when she moved to Great Britain. After her adoptive parents died when she was 18, she started to seek information about her birth family. After years of searching, all she knew about her family was her mom’s name, the village she was born in, and the location of the convent that her mom left her at.
It Was Like Meeting Her Other Half
The detective wrote two letters to Magda’s mom but received no reply. Eventually, Magda’s half-sister, Beata, found one of them and contacted the detective. The following Christmas holiday, they met in person.
“It was like meeting my other half,” Magda said. “We talked like we’d known each other our whole lives.”
She Met Her Mother the Next Year
Her mother agreed to meet her the following year. When she left her at the convent, she told Magda she had been unwed. Soon after, she married another man and had three children.
Now, the three sisters get together as often as they can, which is twice a year. Magda’s young niece adoringly calls her “my auntie in the U.K.”
Long-Lost Sisters, Now a Family at Last
The three sisters are nearly identical and have the same interests— reading, hiking, and sightseeing. All of them even wear glasses.
“I have a whole new sense of belonging. We really love each other. I’ve never had such a great relationship,” Magda said.
Isn’t it wonderful how God restored Magda’s family to her? He knew the desires of her heart. She was lonely when her parents died, but God showed her that he’s still got a reassuring hand in her life, to which she’s forever grateful—and so are her sisters!
“And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us.” 1-John 5:14
