Illegal Citizens: America’s Growing Demographic

A new report by the Pew Hispanic Center provides the most detailed portrait yet of illegal immigrants in this country. It shows they are primarily made up of young families that are having children at a much higher rate than previously known.
Under what I believe is a misinterpretation of the Constitution, these children automatically become American citizens, making deportation of their parents that much harder. That is at least part of the point.
We are hearing the familiar rants from the left: for the sake of the children we must find a way to make their parents legal so their families are not broken-up. This is a clever liberal strategy. The left has been importing votes to change the character of our country.
No other country allows this practice. Indeed, no other country could long survive with its character, history, faith, language and culture intact if it allowed so many people from other political and belief systems into their nations.
It doesn’t help that Americans have aborted 50 million babies and immigrants are having their children.
