Palin’s Daughter Made Her Own Moral Choice

September 3, 2008
The outrageous criticism of Alaska governor Sarah Palin over her daughter’s out-of-wedlock pregnancy and suggestions that she ought to stay home and care for her kids exposes again the hypocrisy of the left.
Liberals are the ones who promote fornication and women in the workplace. They are all for day care and women working 12-hour days. Now they are judging Sarah Palin? Give me a break.
It is no reflection on Palin or her husband that their daughter is pregnant. It is every parent’s fear. It happens in the best of families, including mine. You take them to church, you send them to Christian school, you pray with and for them, but they must still make their own moral choices.
Anyone who thinks you can raise a child who presents no challenges either doesn’t have teenagers or is in denial.
Sarah Palin is scheduled to speak to the convention tonight. She should simply tell her story. Many Americans will be able to identify with her.
