What Obama’s Win Says about Us

November 6, 2008
The election is over and a majority has spoken. Barack Obama will be the next president.
Like many others, I am happy a person of color has shown the true character of America. The media would surely not be celebrating if that person of color were a conservative. One has only to look at the way they treat conservative blacks like Clarence Thomas and Michael Steele to understand the real game. The left uses race and gender in order to promote liberal values and they have seduced many people into believing they can deliver them from poverty and circumstances of their own making.
A YouTube video shows a woman saying she believes Obama will pay her mortgage and fill her gas tank. This is the triumph of the “gimme” generation.
I am all for working together and bipartisanship, but just as it doesn’t happen when Republicans run the government, I doubt there will be much cooperation should Obama and the Democratic Congress start raising taxes and shoving the left’s social agenda down our throats. Still, he should be prayed for, along with the country. He will be tested. And that means we will, too.
