Friend to Friend
For days I’ve been trying to finish a series of devotions that teach timeless Biblical principles. Each time I sat down to write, I felt like a wall the size of Montana stood between the finished message and me. I wasn’t sure why. I prayed and sought God’s leading. Still, the wall. I kept trying to write and almost squashed my brain trying to fit a spiritual square peg in a round hole.
I believe now that it’s because God wants me to go to a more vulnerable, personal place. My initial goal had been to teach faith principles that are hugely important for everyday living; but God’s still small voice reminded me that: sometimes everyday living can knock the life out of you!
He has placed on my heart a word of encouragement:
Whatever your circumstances…
No wound of life is too infected for God to heal.
No problem is too difficult for God to solve.
No sin is too abominable for God to forgive.
No sickness is beyond HIS ability to make well.
He is able.
Hang on!
I feel led to boldly speak these words of truth to you today, my sweet girlfriend in God:
To the woman ready to walk out on her husband –
God loves you and is able to heal your marriage
Hang on!
To the mom whose child is wild –
God loves you and is able to change his/her heart
Hang on!
To the woman who is barraged by addiction –
God loves you and wants to satisfy your every craving
Hang on!
To the woman chained by financial burdens –
God loves you and will supply all your needs according to His riches in Christ Jesus
Hang on!
To the widow who feels abandoned –
God loves you and will never leave your side
Hang on!
To the single mother –
God loves you and is the perfect Father for your fatherless children
Hang on!
To the woman battling illness –
God loves you, is familiar with suffering, and is able to heal you
Hang on!
To the single woman who longs to be cherished by a man –
God loves you and sees you as perfectly beautiful in Christ – trust His plan
Hang on!
To the woman who feels worthless and damaged –
God loves you and considers you precious and valuable
Hang on!
To the woman consumed by guilt –
God loves you, knows you, and paid for that sin on the cross. Release it to HIS hands...be free!
My friend, your challenges do not fall outside the scope of God’s ability to intervene. God is mysterious, He is powerful, and HE IS ABLE! When we lift our eyes from our circumstances and fix our eyes on our Savior, we will find peace in the pain and strength in the struggles.
God loves you with a crazy, bigger-than-a-mountain sized love that none of us can even begin to comprehend. Allow that love to consume your heart today. Reach out and grab the celestial rope of hope. “…hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful” (Hebrews
Hang on to Jesus, friend. Hang onto Jesus. He’s every question’s answer.
Let’s Pray
Lord Jesus, I need to hang on to you today. I’m comforted that You know every issue on my heart and You are able to shoulder my burdens. I bring them to you now. Thank You for being able. I love you so much.

God longs to be glorified IN your circumstances. Write three things you can do to bring glory to God in your circumstances. Journal about the possibilities.
David said to the Lord: “Therefore let everyone who is godly pray to you while you may be found; surely when the mighty waters rise, they will not reach him. You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.” (Psalm 32:6-7) Run to God as your hiding place.
