Encouraging Your Mate

Dr. David B. Hawkins

It is easy to be self-centered, focused solely on what you have to do today. Many of us move through our day, running from one task to another, oblivious to the fact that our mate longs for encouragement. Make a habit of stopping a couple times a day to make a simple phone call, pick up a nice card, or perhaps pray for your mate. These acts not only bind your heart to them, but offer them much-needed moments of encouragement. “Anxiety in the heart causes depression, but a good word makes it glad.” (Proverbs 12:25)
