Created in His Image - Beloved Women - November 7, 2018

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. - Genesis 1:27 ESV
TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT
Whenever I read this verse, I imagine how it must have brought great joy to God as He created the world and then created man and woman in His image. I imagine it brought a smile to His face as He designed every inch of how we would come to be. Although there have been moments where I am tempted to complain about the way he made me, I remind myself that I am made in His image; this is the way He saw fit.
How comforting is it to know that God is so involved in our lives that He took the time to creatively design us in a way that brought great joy to His heart. However you view yourself today, it is my prayer that you will be filled with confidence, knowing that you were created in the image of God.
PRAY
Father, at times we are tempted to complain and compare ourselves to others, but I ask that you would convict us in those moments and remind us that we were created this way for your glory. You uniquely designed us this way for a reason. Help us to never lose sight of your creative works. Help each of your daughters to see herself the way that you see her: beautifully created in your image. In Jesus Christ's Name, I pray. Amen.
