TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT
While I was in college a friend needed a place to stay off campus to be closer to her internship. Unfortunately, there seemed to be no suitable option available in spite of her search. Wanting to help, I asked my parents if she could stay with our family for the semester. We had a spare bedroom filled with miscellaneous junk that would be perfect once fixed up. Their answer was yes contingent on my ability to clean the room before the start of the semester a short time later.
Two weeks prior to fall term my project was complete and I could finally tell my friend the news! Most of her summer had been spent fretting over where she would live and how much it would cost – all the while God was preparing a place specifically arranged for her at no charge. Always, behind the scenes and beyond what we can physically see, God is at work in our lives. He’s able and ready to do “immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine.”
PRAY
Father, thank you for your provision and all the ways it exceeds our expectations. Even when we don’t know how or where our help is coming, we can trust that help is on the way. Not one prayer have you forgotten. Help us to be patient while we wait on your answer to manifest, in Jesus Name, Amen.
