Trusting God in Trying Times – Beloved Women - March 1, 2019

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. - Isaiah 43:2 NIV
TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT
As I turn on the news each day, there are numerous national and global crises. From senseless mass shootings, global famine, war, and political unrest, my spirit can be drained at times. In Isaiah 43:2, God reassures the people of Israel that God protected them in their times of trouble. Just like God did not abandon the people of Israel, God will not abandon us in our time of need. God will walk with us through adversity and tough times.
In the midst of an ongoing crisis, it is important to remind ourselves to continue to trust God. We must trust God is sovereign and is present during these trying times. While trying times can test our faith, we should seek God's word for peace and comfort. During difficult times in your own life, I encourage to trust God and meditate on God’s word as a reassurance that God is in control.
Dear God, thank You for being present during the trying times in my life. Thank You for reminding me that You are constant during adversity and your ways are true. Help me to dig deeper into Your Word for comfort, wisdom, and peace to walk through trying times. Thank you for never leaving me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
