Heart Full of Treasure – Beloved Women – May 27, 2019

“And his mother treasured up all these things in her heart.” - Luke 2:51 ESV
TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT
As I read this verse, I imagined Mary being in awe of God’s work through her to bring Jesus to the world. I imagine that she wanted to savor the moment of having Jesus near and it made her heart fill with thanksgiving.
The truth is, we should all be filled with treasures in our heart. Despite what you’ve been through, or what you are currently going through, God is good. When we take our focus off of our problems, we can see God’s protective hands on our lives, and His grace and mercy with us every day. If you are reading this today, you know how good He is because you are still here and given another chance to get it right.
I am so thankful for what He has done for me and I desire to be like Mary and willingly stay in a place of reverence for more of Him and less of me.
PRAY
Dear Father, I thank you for being my ultimate treasure. Thank you for today’s scripture to remind me of the beauty in staying in awe of you. Words cannot express the thankfulness in my heart, but I ask that you keep me in a place of worship so that my eyes will stay on you. In Jesus Christ’s Name, I pray, Amen.
