Serve the Lord with Gladness - Beloved Women - February 16, 2024

READ: “Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing!” (Psalm 100:2 ESV)

TODAY'S ENCOURAGEMENT: God has given us all unique gifts to be used for a distinct purpose. Serving the Lord with gladness doesn’t mean there won’t be times where we won’t feel tired or burnt out, but our motivation will come from wanting to please God. Psalm 100:2 is a celebratory declaration! Whether we are called to teach, write, counsel, or be a stay-at-home mom, we should serve with gladness only seeking to please the Lord. On tough days, we should pray to God for renewed energy and strength to serve with a smile on our face and an attitude of gratitude.

When serving, we can’t rely only on our strength to sustain us, but we must pause to look to God’s presence to remind us why we are serving. We shouldn’t serve from obligation but from a desire to be obedient to God’s word and calling for our lives. God has equipped us with all we need to serve with gladness and excellence. Let us serve God today with a renewed zeal.

PRAY: Dear God, Thank You for the unique gifts that You have blessed me with to be used for Your glory. As I serve You each day, please renew in me a genuine spirit of gladness and remind me that I am nothing without Your presence. Thank You for Your spirit that strengthens me when I am weak and places a new song in my heart. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.

REFLECT: What ways can you be more intentional about serving the Lord with gladness?
