Based on the national bestselling book “All Things Possible” by Kurt Warner and Michael Silver, American Underdog is a story of faith, determination, and family.

The film adaptation tells the inspirational true story of Kurt Warner (Zachary Levi), who went from being a stock boy at a grocery store to a two-time NFL MVP, Super Bowl champion, and Hall of Fame Quarterback.

Warner grew up in Iowa and wound up playing for the St. Louis Rams and Arizona Cardinals. He is the only player to be in both the Football Hall of Fame and the Arena’s League’s Hall. Directed by the Erwin Brothers, American Underdog shows Warner’s unique story and years of challenges and setbacks that could have derailed his aspirations to be an NFL player--but just when his dreams seemed all but out of reach, it is only with the support of his wife, Brenda (played by Academy Award winner Anna Paquin) and the encouragement of his family, coaches (played by Dennis Quaid, Terry Allen, and Mike Martz), and teammates that Warner perseveres and finds the strength to show the world the champion he already is.

American Underdog is an uplifting story that demonstrates that anything is possible. If you enjoy learning about true stories, need inspiration, are longing for encouragement in your Christian walk, or simply love watching football, keep an eye out for this upcoming film. Coming to theaters on Christmas day 2021, American Underdog is sure to be a heartwarming story fit for the holiday season.
