Chris Rice Says Smell The Color

Matthew Turner

While colors have always had unique hues and brightness, it took {{Chris Rice}} to point out the uniqueness of color names and aroma. Names? Aroma?

Chris seems to give the answer with the title of his new project - Smell The Color 9. The man who put Fred Flintstone and Yogi Bear into praise music will arrive with his new Rocketown Records' project on Halloween, October 31st.

"Cause I can sniff, I can see, I can count up pretty high

But these faculties aren't getting me any closer to the sky

But my heart of faith keeps poundin' so I know I'm doing fine

But sometimes finding you is just like trying to...

Smell the color 9."

Rice again works with Dove-nominee for Producer of the Year Monroe Jones as he has written 9 songs for the project that covers the whole 9 yards. The songs are "Belong", "Questions for Heaven", "The Face of Christ", "Somebody's Watching", "Look Away", "Life Means So Much", "Home Tonight" and "Sailing With Russell" in addition to the title cut.

Subjects come from our everyday struggles as well as the inspiration and the comfort we find in our Creator. An added highlight: the initial release will feature a free instrumental CD that will be shrink-wrapped to Smell The Color 9.
