Animal Instinct

A farmer named Donahue lived by himself in rural Ireland with his dog. When the dog finally died, he went to the parish priest and asked, "Father, me dog is dead. Could ya be sayin' a mass for the creature?" The priest responded, "I'm afraid not. We do not have services for animals in the church, but there's a new denomination down the road - no telling what they believe. Maybe they'll do somethin' for the creature." Donahue said, "I'll go right away. Do ya think $7,000 is enough to donate for them holding the service?" The priest exclaimed, "God be blessed! Why didn't ya tell me the dog was Catholic?"
