If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. - 2 Chronicles 7:14

Light radiates. An energy core illuminates all in its range. God’s “remnant people,” those in covenant with Him, bless their whole community and world. As they humbly seek God for their nation and society, and as they turn from their sin, God heals the land. How does a nation repent? Not all will see the need. But as the “energy core” of God’s people of promise repent for the sins of society, God has mercy on the whole. The radiating effect bathes everything around it with light.
