Becoming a Faithful Steward
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” >1 Peter 4:10
No matter who we are, where we live, or what our life experiences have been, God has gifted each of us. And there’s a reason He has done that. God wants us to use what He has given us to serve Him. When we return the gift God has given us to Him, it is an act of worship. It reminds us that the gift is not ours to keep; it is ours to use to reach others.
Maybe God has gifted you with an ability to sing or play music. Maybe you have a gift of connecting with other people. Maybe your gift is in technology, or art, or hospitality. There’s no limit to the gifts God provides us, His children. And it’s all so that we can help reach other people through the local church. Because when we use our gift to build God’s House, we discover the key to life!
Thank God for what He has gifted you with. Pray for opportunities to use your gifts to serve Him so that you can be a “faithful steward.”
Don’t just think about ways you could serve in the local church, take action! Contact your church today, and find a place to plug in and serve.
