Invest in Your Future, Part 4
“If you point these things out to the brothers and sisters, you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, nourished on the truths of the faith and of the good teaching that you have followed. Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales; rather, train yourself to be godly. For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.” 2 Timothy 4:6-8
This week we have focused on investing in our future; our eternal future. Paul and Silas taught us how to be eternal thinkers, and what it means to rejoice in our sorrow and pain. We learned how important it is to look above what’s here on this earth, and to know where our treasures truly lie. We know how important it is to be a true witness of God by showing others that we serve someone greater than ourselves and our circumstances.
We have also learned that shattered dreams do not necessarily mean they are lost for good, as they are sometimes fulfilled when we get to heaven. And we learned that we have to have a godly perspective where our own dreams are concerned.
Will you be a pursuer of your dreams? Ask God to help you. He wants to be a part of your dreams. Remember, what you do now on earth has everything to do with your eternity!
Ask God to help you be a better investor in your eternity. Ask Him to show you what steps you should take in order to fulfill your dreams that He gave to you.
Sow into the lives of others and invest in the only thing that is truly eternal!
