The Abundant Life Baptist Church in Lee’s Summit, MO. took their online evangelistic efforts to the volleyball courts. Some leaders within the church developed a Facebook relationship with the Kansas City Atheist Coalition.
The two groups then decided that a volleyball challenge would be a fun way for them to engage and raise money to help children in foster care. The church modeled loving their “enemies” by showing them respect.
Jesus taught in Luke 6:35, “But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil men.”
Building loving relationships at church or work like Abundant Life did is an effective form of evangelism.
