A student was asked to submit a paper to her ethics class on a past ethical dilemma. Her professor shared with me this young lady's tragic tale.
Her father became deathly ill. They raced him to a hospital in India for treatment, but when they arrived the doctor refused to help unless he received a bribe. On moral grounds this family refused to pay.
Soon this young lady's father was dead. Her paper ended with the lingering question "Did we make the right choice?"
Deuteronomy 10:17 says, "For the LORD your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality and accepts no bribes."
Won't it be nice when we get to heaven, a place free of corruption?
Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and tell me what you think this young lady should have done and why.
