Worthy of Trust
By: Rick Boxx

As a brand new loan officer, the day finally came when I made a loan that didn’t require my boss’ approval. At the end of the week, my boss wanted to know how the borrower was going to use the money.

You should have seen the look on my boss’ face when I said, he’s going to convert cow manure into electricity. My boss’ dumbfounded expression said, “I’ve hired an idiot.”

The loan did eventually get paid back, but I undermined the trust my boss had in me.

Luke 16:12 teaches, “And if you have not been trustworthy with someone else’s property, who will give you property of your own?”

If you want to be known for integrity, part of it requires that you prove worthy of other people’s trust.
