A Reputation Rebound

In May, Southwest Airlines refused to allow a passenger to call her husband who had just texted her a suicide threat. She later discovered that her husband had in fact committed suicide.
Weeks later, according to Fox News, passenger, Peggy Uhle, was on a Chicago runway when her Southwest plane drove back to the gate and asked her to depart and speak to an attendant.
She quickly learned that her son was in a coma in Denver. The airline had already rebooked her at no charge for a non-stop flight to Denver! Southwest restored their reputation.
Proverbs 22:1 teaches, “A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold.”
Our reputation will be devastated at times, but that can be an opportunity for improvement.
