A friend sells product to offices that requires employees to collect significant amounts of cash. This leaves him open to substantial losses.
When someone informed him of a new "character assessment test," he tried it out on a former pastor he was looking to hire.
When the results came back, the testing organization urged him not to hire this man due to his dishonest nature. My friend ignored them, because the employee had been a pastor. Months later he terminated the pastor due to theft.
Proverbs 1:7 teaches, "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline."
Just because someone claims to be a Christian doesn't mean they fear the Lord. Check out everyone's character when you're hiring. It may save you from harm.
