A Searching Look

Once again we see Paul admonishing (in a bold but loving way) the church in Corinth about sin going on within their members. As part of his warning Paul instructs these believers to examine and test themselves to see whether they are in the faith (verse 5). I read this passage three or four times and each time this instruction to assess our lives stood out to me. When you think about it, it makes a lot of sense that we should regularly be looking inward, carrying out a heart check, about how we're living for Christ.
