God’s Patience with People

“Yet for many years You had patience with them, and testified against them by Your Spirit in Your prophets. Yet they would not listen; therefore You gave them into the hand of the peoples of the lands.” - >Nehemiah 9:30

God is so patient with His people. He had sent them His prophets to speak His messages to them. Yet, they would not listen, and they suffered the consequences. Israel became captives of people from other lands.

God has sent us His Son to be our Savior, but so many people do not listen to the Gospel message. Scientists can calculate complicated mathematics and create satellites to place in space. America has even landed a spaceship on the moon!  Neil Armstrong and pilot Buzz Aldrin were the first two human beings to walk on the surface of the moon. Yet, men do not believe in God, even though they are searching for Him.

Scientists throughout the world also study biology and physics. They understand cell structure––atoms, protons, neutrons and electrons but many of these brilliant minds cannot fathom the simplicity of believing in God. They cannot conceive it! They are blind to the truth, yet it is right there in front of them. God created everything and He is in command.

NASA spends so much time, money and effort in trying to reach different planets such as Mars. But instead of trying to reach planets in our solar system, imagine if all that time, energy and money was used to seek and convert the spiritually lost in our world for Christ. The earth would be more like the kingdom age––seriously (Isaiah 11:1-10). But men are selfish, greedy and usually have their own agendas––think about that.

God is so patient with us. The God who created the universe has sent us His Son so we can know Him. He has communicated with us. Read the Bible; He is nearer than you think (Acts 17:27).

Gravity explains the motions of the planets, but it cannot explain
who sets the planets in motion.
