CCLI

Back in the mid-1980s, a church was actually sued for copyright infringement because they copied songs without permission. It made front page news across the country and became the catalyst for the “blanket permission” concept offered by CCLI. With the Church Copyright License, churches can legally copy songs in bulletins, song sheets, computer projection masters and custom arrangements—all for the purpose of assisting in congregational singing.
Currently, over 150,000 churches across North America have a Church Copyright License from CCLI, and many of these same churches also subscribe to SongSelect, a great online source for lyrics, samples and transposable sheet music for the top CCLI worship songs. Over 60,000 churches and ministries also have a Church Video License, providing coverage for showing movies at various church activities—and now each video license comes with a free Standard ScreenVue membership, providing over a thousand scene ideas from major movies for sermon illustrations. The SongTouch digital music store and CCLI TV also offer great new worship music and resources for worship and creative arts ministries.
So…why CCLI? These are just a few of the reasons. For more information, please watch the video or go to www.ccli.com/why.
