Daily Encouragement
Daily Encouragement

Encourage each other daily, while it is still called today, so that none of you is hardened by sin’s deception. (Heb. 3:13)
Assume Everyone Needs It
If you assume everybody needs encouragement to pursue God every single day, you’ll be right every single time. That’s because the deceitfulness of sin is always there, threatening to lure us away from God’s truth and righteousness. The devil doesn’t take any days off, so we can’t either.
But our vigilance against the devil’s deceptions is not a solo effort. We all have blind spots that only others can help us see. And we all have weaknesses that only others can help us overcome. Rather than attempt to live as lone-ranger Christians, we’re meant to be a band of brothers who stick together and fight for the advancement of God’s kingdom in our own lives, the lives of our families, and in a lost and hurting world. That’s God’s battle plan for us. And one of His best tactical weapons is the simple power of encouragement, one brother to another.
How Encouragement Works
Encouraging one another often begins with asking good questions, trying to dig in to what’s really going on in a friend’s heart. The goal is not to condemn but rather to bring any darkness into the light so it can be forgiven, letting truth and righteousness regain the ascendancy. Sometimes it will just be pointing out how you see God working in a friend’s life and urging him to keep going. Make sure you’re encouraging your brothers daily. It’s crucial.
Bottom Line
Encouragement is not optional. We need to receive it, and we need to give it. Make sure encouragement is a big part of your life.
