Wonderful Creation

Mountains

I will praise You because I have been remarkably and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful, and I know this very well. (Ps. 139:14)

iPad

The iPad is an incredibly cool gadget. It can browse the Internet and send and receive e-mails. It’s a portable music/video player, photo album, e-book reader, and video game player. The device is ultra-thin and weighs next to nothing, making it easy for you to check out this week’s issue of Sports Illustrated or get in a round or two of your addictive game of choice.

Yet the iPad does have its limitations. Even with growing gigabytes of memory in each new release, only so much can be downloaded. Keeping smudges off the touch-sensitive screen is nearly impossible. Sometimes the apps don’t work, and it crashes. And don’t even think about dropping an iPad, because it probably won’t survive the fall.

No Limits

The God we serve has no such limitations. His love, grace, and mercy know no bounds. His maximum battery life is not measured in hours but in eternity. And as amazing as an iPad can be, it simply cannot compare to God’s most wonderful creation—us!

As humans, we can walk, run, jump, sit, talk, and think. We can reason. We can drive cars and fly airplanes. We can be happy or sad, rejoice or grieve. The most important purpose behind our creation, however, is to worship and serve our Creator. God knew what He was doing when He formed us—so thank Him today!

Bottom Line

God is far more interesting than any technological advancement ever made, and so are you— a person made in His image! Be amazed and give thanks!
