Barbershop Quartet Sings 'It Is Well with My Soul'

A talented barbershop quartet took the crowd to church with their rendition of ‘It Is Well With My Soul.’ This classic hymn reminds us all that there is peace in the arms of the Lord.

"When peace like a river, attendeth my way,

When sorrows like sea billows roll

Whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say

It is well, it is well, with my soul

It is well

With my soul

It is well, it is well with my soul"

'It Is Well With My Soul' was written by Horatio Spafford and composed by Philip Bliss. After Horatio lost all four of his daughters, he wrote down these words as a testament of how God is with us through the good times and the bad.

Today, the four talented men of Jokers Wild are lending their voices to this iconic tune. Just listen as they belt out these heartfelt words at the 2019 Barbershop Harmony Society’s International Convention.

"Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come,

Let this blest assurance control,

That Christ has regarded my helpless estate,

And hath shed His own blood for my soul"

There are so many times in our lives when we may feel down or distant from God. Even in those turbulent times, it is so important to remember that He loves you no matter what.

The Lord will stand with us each step of the way and He will never abandon us. What a blessing to hear these words of worship give thanks to His Name.
