Christian Ministry Minno Launching Premier Sign Language Bible Series for Kids

Minno is a Christian streaming platform for Children that is expanding its ministry by including an American Sign Language (ASL) version of its flagship series, “Laugh and Grow Bible for Kids.” The exciting children’s media ministry addition will begin on August 8th, 2025. ASL developed the new branch of the series in partnership with Bridge Multimedia, which has also done some work with PBS Kids and Google, according to the Christian News Wire. Minno’s mission is to “use the power of media to invite kids into God’s Story and help them experience Jesus every day, in every way – on and off screens,” according to the Minno website.

Other programs offered on the Minno platform include Young David, Veggie Tales, The Dead Sea Squirrels, The Slugs & Bugs Show, Monster Truck Adventures, and Bibleman to name just a few. There are also programs available in Spanish, and in the near future, Portuguese.

“We’re building the most accessible Christian kids’ media platform in the world,” Erick Goss, CEO and Co-founder of Minno, told Christian News Wire. “To our knowledge, this is the first time a Bible series for kids has ever been created in American Sign Language—and it’s just the beginning. Every child deserves the chance to experience the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the way they learn best—whether through ASL, their native language, or as a story at bedtime. No other platform is delivering faith-based content for kids at this scale or quality.”

Gross is a Navy veteran who flew helicopters and worked as a Pentagon spokesperson during his military service. Though he wasn’t really brought up in a Christian home, after he left the military, he worked for Amazon, and the Lord directed his steps to get involved in a local church.

“It was there that I recognized one of the most important things that we could do was to help new believers understand what it means to raise a Christian family. So many of the folks that were joining our church at that time were unchurched, and really had no context for what it meant to be a Christian or how to raise their children to know Jesus. Later, I moved to Nashville, where I had the opportunity to work with Phil Vischer, creator of Veggie Tales, on a project called Buck Denver Asks …What’s in the Bible?” Gross told The War Cry in an interview.

During that time, he said he also, “...recognized that one of the best ways to disciple adults is to disciple their kids, and that next to having meals together, families spend the most time together watching media…”

This realization led Gross to desire to invest in children and help them realize that God loves them. In this way, Gross felt he’d gain the opportunity to also reach their parents.

In addition to the Minno streaming platform, Minno also has a YouTube channel. Both of these have experienced exponential growth from 2024-2025, and that has paved the way for Minno to become the leading faith-based family content platform, according to The Christian Newswire.

“The name ‘Minno’ is based on the Greek word for ‘abide’ from John 15, because we really want to create a platform where kids could learn to abide with Jesus, experience Jesus every day through media and technology,” Gross told The War Cry.

He went on to note that parents have told him that they feel Minno is making a difference because they are getting opportunities to have more devotional time with their kids and talk about spiritual truths.

In addition, “We know from research that kids actually engage in what’s called ‘biblical play.’ When they’re playing by themselves, they actually envision either themselves in the biblical narrative or that God is present with them as they are playing. Those are some distinct ways that we know our platform is impacting kids and giving them a greater sense of God’s presence in their lives, so that they can abide in Jesus and Jesus can abide in them,” he said.
