Secret Place Nesting – Beloved Women – December 4, 2025
READ: “But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.” (Matthew 6:6 ESV)
TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT: Finding that time to be alone with God can be a challenge. There are so many distractions when we first wake up. We are in demand as soon as our feet hit the floor. If you find yourself there, and we all do, then you will have to be more intentional to get alone time with God.
The verse says for us to enter into our room, a most private place with God. This alone time can be called nesting time with God or your secret place. You want to get in this secret nesting place daily. There are specific things you can do there to get the most of this time with God.
Share with God from your heart. Share all that you want. He knows your heart to the fullest and wants to hear what you have to say. Feed on the word of God daily. Meditate passages of scripture that speak to you. Soak them in. Sing in your quiet place with God. Sing a song from your heart to Him. Wait for His presence in your secret place. Let His spirit fill the place and space that you are in. Wait for His rest in that place. If you are burdened, wait for His strength and love to fill you and refresh you. Finally, wait for His reward to come to your life openly. He will reward you because He is that faithful.
PRAY: Lord, visit me in my secret place with You. Help me to be aware of Your precious presence in my life here and let me get the most of our time. Let me sense Your love for me as I lavish my love on You. In Jesus’ Christ name, Amen.
