Exchanging Our Weakness for God’s Power – Beloved Women – April 10, 2020

READ: “There is none like God, O Jeshurun, who rides through the heavens to your help, through the skies in his majesty.” (Deuteronomy 33:26 ESV)

TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT: I had planned it all but failed miserably. For days, weeks, and months, I agonized over what went wrong. My disappointment was great, and I was convinced of my inability to move forward. Feeling ill-equipped and insecure, I was stuck in the middle of a path I knew God had called me on.

With a painfully sharp focus on me, I had forgotten who God was. Does that ever happen to you?

Moses’ last words to the people of Israel were meant to inspire courage. They can do the same for us. Deuteronomy 33:26 magnifies the supremacy and power of God and reminds us of our special privilege as His people.

When we’re in the middle of a fierce battle, let us remember who our God is: Commander of Heaven’s armies and the King of kings who rides across the heavens to help us. Nothing is impossible for Him.

So, if you’ve come face to face with your weakness, and you now lack confidence in your ability to accomplish what God has called you to, LOOK UP! Remember who your God is. There is none like Him, and He lovingly offers you His power in exchange for your weakness.

PRAY: Dear Heavenly Father, You are God alone. You are strong when I am weak. When I lose the courage to move on, help me to embrace my weakness and rely fully on Your strength. There is none like You, O God. Help me to fix my eyes on You; You can accomplish much more than I can even ask or imagine. Thank You for hearing my prayer and for riding across the heavens to help me. In Jesus Christ’s Name, I pray, Amen.
