Smile! The Light of Christ is in You – Beloved Women – January 10, 2019

TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT
Christ has called us to be the light. We are to embody Christ’s light in both pleasant and dark places. Our external countenance and demeanor should reflect light and not darkness. Smile! At times, our countenance doesn’t reflect Christ’s light. Our attitudes and spirits are down and don’t have a lot of life. I will admit that I can allow life’s demands to drain me to not always be the light. Christ wants us to rise above our circumstances to represent God’s light.
Our light can be a smile or an encouraging word to someone who needs it. When we smile and represent God’s light, it will draw others to us providing an opportunity for us to be a witness. If this is something that you are seeking support in, seek God’s word for scriptures that will encourage your spirit. I encourage you to smile and restore the joy of the Lord that is contagious with others.
PRAY
Dear God, thank You for being the ultimate example of light in my life. Please help me to represent your light with confidence, boldness, and authenticity. In times when I do not always represent your light, I ask for your forgiveness and spirit to restore your joy. Please draw those who You see fit for me to be a witness. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
